James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.
Taylor told the story, "My puppy was in obvious distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur was clearly injured and his paws were red. His toenails, cut too closely to the paws likely caused him to bite.
Puppy Lux, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.
James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. He has accused Puppy Lux of animal abuse, joining numerous others who have made similar allegations. San Mateo initiated an investigation for possible animal abuse.
James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." The wounds were so severe they caused bleeding."
Jack Smithr posted on Yelp a review about how Puppy Lux returned his animals to him in a bad condition or with injuries. Another customer captured a Snapchat video showing a dog in apparent pain, claiming that a groomer had forcefully inserted a napkin into the dog's ear.
In addition to the damning Yelp reviews, Puppy Lux wants customers to be aware of what the groomer told him, as animal abuse email someone they had entrusted with their pets' well-being. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also stated that he personally applies this method to his own dog."
Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. When asked about Puppy, she immediately said that it was an independent entity, before abruptly terminating the call.
